Agreement to Terms
Welcome to MotoConnect. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the MotoConnect mobile application (the "App"), including any content, functionality, and services offered through the App.
By creating an account or using MotoConnect, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the App.

1. Eligibility
1.1 Age Requirement
You must be at least 18 years old to use MotoConnect. By using the App, you represent that you are of legal age to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction.
1.2 Legal Capacity
By using the App, you represent that:
You have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms
You are not prohibited from using the App under applicable laws
You will comply with these Terms and all applicable laws
2. Account Registration and Security
2.1 Account Creation
To use MotoConnect, you must create an account by providing:
A valid email address
Your name and date of birth
A secure password (or sign in via Google, Facebook, or Apple)
2.2 Account Security
You are responsible for:
Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
All activities that occur under your account
Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized access
2.3 Accurate Information
You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to update it as necessary. Providing false or misleading information may result in account termination.
2.4 One Account Per Person
You may only create one account. Creating multiple accounts may result in suspension or termination.
3. Acceptable Use Policy
3.1 Permitted Uses
You may use MotoConnect to:
Connect with other motorcyclists
Join or create riding groups
Participate in motorcycle events and rides
Share motorcycle-related content and experiences
Communicate with other users via chat
3.2 Prohibited Conduct
You agree NOT to:
a) Violate Laws:
Use the App for any illegal purpose
Violate any local, state, national, or international law
b) Harass or Harm Others:
Harass, bully, threaten, or intimidate other users
Engage in hate speech, discrimination, or offensive behavior
Impersonate any person or entity
c) Inappropriate Content:
Post sexually explicit, pornographic, or obscene content
Share violent, graphic, or disturbing images
Post content that promotes illegal drugs, weapons, or dangerous activities
d) Spam and Fraud:
Send spam, unsolicited advertisements, or promotional materials
Engage in fraud, scams, or deceptive practices
Sell products or services without our permission
e) Intellectual Property Violations:
Post content you do not have the right to share
Infringe on copyrights, trademarks, or other intellectual property rights
f) System Abuse:
Attempt to hack, reverse engineer, or compromise the App's security
Use bots, scrapers, or automated tools to access the App
Interfere with or disrupt the App's servers or networks
g) False Information:
Create fake profiles or provide misleading information
Post false or defamatory content about others
3.3 Riding Safety Disclaimer
IMPORTANT: MotoConnect is a social platform for connecting motorcyclists. We do NOT:
Organize or supervise rides
Verify rider qualifications or safety credentials
Assume responsibility for rider behavior or safety
You are solely responsible for:
Your own safety while riding
Ensuring you have proper licenses, insurance, and equipment
Obeying traffic laws and riding responsibly
Assessing the safety of rides, groups, or events you join
MotoConnect is NOT liable for accidents, injuries, or damages that occur during rides or events.
4. User Content
4.1 Ownership
You retain ownership of the content you post on MotoConnect (photos, messages, posts, etc.). However, by posting content, you grant us a license to use it.
4.2 License to MotoConnect
By posting content, you grant MotoConnect a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, transferable license to:
Use, reproduce, and display your content within the App
Distribute your content to other users as part of the App's functionality
Use your content for promotional purposes (e.g., showcasing app features)
This license ends when you delete your content or account, except for content shared with other users (e.g., messages).
4.3 Content Responsibility
You are solely responsible for the content you post. You represent that:
You own or have permission to share the content
Your content does not violate any laws or third-party rights
Your content complies with these Terms
4.4 Content Removal
We reserve the right to remove any content that:
Violates these Terms
Infringes on intellectual property rights
Is reported by other users as inappropriate
We deem harmful or offensive
We are not obligated to monitor content but may do so at our discretion.
4.5 Content Moderation and Reporting
Zero Tolerance Policy: MotoConnect has ZERO TOLERANCE for objectionable content or abusive behavior, including but not limited to:
Harassment, bullying, or threats
Hate speech, discrimination, or offensive language
Sexually explicit, pornographic, or obscene content
Violence, graphic images, or disturbing material
Spam, fraud, or deceptive practices
Content promoting illegal activities
Reporting Mechanism: You can report inappropriate content or abusive users through:
The "Report" button available on profiles, messages, groups, rides, and events
Contacting us directly at info@motoconnect.be
User Blocking: You have the ability to block any user to prevent them from contacting or viewing your content.
Content Filtering: We employ automated and manual systems to detect and filter objectionable content.
Moderation Response Time: We commit to reviewing and acting on all content reports within 24 hours of receipt. Actions may include:
Removing the offending content
Suspending or permanently banning the offending user
Notifying law enforcement if illegal activity is suspected
Consequences for Violations:
First offense: Warning or temporary suspension
Repeated offenses: Permanent account termination
Serious violations: Immediate permanent ban and potential legal action
By using MotoConnect, you agree to report any objectionable content you encounter and understand that failure to comply with community standards will result in account termination.
5. Premium Subscriptions (If Applicable)
5.1 Premium Features
MotoConnect offers premium subscriptions with the following features:
Unlimited rides & events organizing: No monthly limits on creating rides and events (free users have limits)
Private rides and groups: Create private rides and groups exclusive to your friends
Ad-free experience: Enjoy the app without advertisements
Premium badge: Display a premium badge on your profile
Unlimited group creation: Create as many groups as you want (free users limited to 1 group)
5.2 Payment
Subscriptions are managed through RevenueCat and billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store
RevenueCat is the single source of truth for your subscription status
RevenueCat handles subscription state, receipt validation, and premium feature access
Prices are displayed in your local currency
Payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google Play account
All payment processing is handled securely by Apple or Google
Your subscription status is verified directly through RevenueCat for instant access to premium features
5.3 Auto-Renewal and Cancellation
Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the current period ends
To cancel your subscription:
iOS: Go to Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions → MotoConnect → Cancel Subscription
Android: Go to Google Play Store → Menu → Subscriptions → MotoConnect → Cancel Subscription
You can also manage subscriptions through the in-app Settings screen
Cancellations take effect at the end of your current billing period
5.4 Refunds
Refunds are handled by Apple or Google according to their respective refund policies
We do not process refunds directly
For refund requests, contact Apple or Google support directly
5.5 Changes to Pricing
We may change subscription prices with at least 30 days' notice. Changes apply to new subscriptions and renewals after the notice period.
6. Advertising
6.1 Ad Display
MotoConnect may display advertisements from third-party brands (e.g., motorcycle manufacturers, gear companies).
6.2 Personalized Ads
You can choose to receive personalized ads based on your interests and location
You can opt out of personalized ads in app settings
Opting out does NOT remove ads; you will see generic ads instead
6.3 Ad Clicks
Clicking on ads may redirect you to third-party websites. We are not responsible for third-party content or offers.
7. Intellectual Property Rights
7.1 MotoConnect Ownership
The App, including its design, code, logos, trademarks, and content (excluding user content), is owned by MotoConnect and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
7.2 Restrictions
You may NOT:
Copy, modify, or distribute the App or its content
Use our trademarks or branding without permission
Create derivative works based on the App
7.3 Feedback
If you provide feedback or suggestions, we may use them without obligation or compensation to you.
8. Privacy
Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand how we collect, use, and protect your data.
By using the App, you consent to the collection and use of your information as described in the Privacy Policy.
9. Third-Party Services
9.1 OAuth Providers
MotoConnect integrates with Google, Facebook, and Apple for sign-in. Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies.
9.2 Maps and Location Services
We use Google Maps API for location-based features. Your use is subject to Google Maps Terms of Service.
9.3 No Endorsement
Inclusion of third-party services does not imply endorsement. We are not responsible for their content, policies, or practices.
10. Termination
10.1 Termination by You
You may delete your account at any time from the app settings. Deleting your account will:
Permanently remove your profile and personal data
Cancel any active premium subscriptions (no refunds)
Remove your access to the App
10.2 Termination by Us
We may suspend or terminate your account if:
You violate these Terms
You engage in prohibited conduct
We believe your account poses a security risk
We discontinue the App (with 30 days' notice)
10.3 Effect of Termination
Upon termination:
Your right to use the App ends immediately
We may delete your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy
Sections of these Terms that should survive (e.g., disclaimers, liability limitations) remain in effect
11. Disclaimers and Limitations of Liability
11.1 "As-Is" Basis
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING:
Warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose
Warranties of accuracy, reliability, or availability
Warranties that the App will be error-free or uninterrupted
11.2 No Liability for User Conduct
We are NOT responsible for:
The conduct or actions of other users
Content posted by users
Interactions between users (including offline meetings or rides)
Accidents, injuries, or damages occurring during rides or events
11.3 Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, MOTOCONNECT SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:
Indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages
Loss of profits, data, or business opportunities
Personal injury or property damage arising from your use of the App
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIM SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE PAST 12 MONTHS (OR $100, WHICHEVER IS GREATER).
11.4 Jurisdictional Limitations
Some jurisdictions do not allow exclusions of certain warranties or liabilities. In such cases, our liability is limited to the extent permitted by law.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless MotoConnect, its affiliates, and their respective officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from:
Your use of the App
Your violation of these Terms
Your violation of any third-party rights
Content you post on the App
13. Dispute Resolution
13.1 Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Belgium, without regard to conflict of law principles.
13.2 Informal Resolution
Before filing a legal claim, you agree to contact us at info@motoconnect.be to attempt to resolve the dispute informally.
13.3 Arbitration (If Applicable)
If we cannot resolve the dispute informally, disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with Belgian law, except where prohibited.
13.4 Class Action Waiver
You agree to resolve disputes individually and waive the right to participate in class actions or class-wide arbitration.
14. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will:
Notify you via the App or email
Update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this document
Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree, you must stop using the App and delete your account.
15. General Provisions
15.1 Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and MotoConnect regarding the App.
15.2 Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full effect.
15.3 Waiver
Our failure to enforce any provision of these Terms does not constitute a waiver of that provision.
15.4 Assignment
You may not assign or transfer your rights under these Terms. We may assign our rights to any affiliate or successor.
15.5 No Agency
Nothing in these Terms creates a partnership, joint venture, or agency relationship between you and MotoConnect.
15.6 Force Majeure
We are not liable for delays or failures in performance resulting from circumstances beyond our reasonable control (e.g., natural disasters, cyberattacks, government actions).
